Refined through years of testing in New Zealand’s demanding conditions, the Midlength Mk II is designed to excel across multiple disciplines, from wingfoiling and parawing to foil assist and freeride foiling. Its efficient shape combines early takeoff performance, excellent glide, and exceptional maneuverability, making progression easier while unlocking higher levels of performance for experienced riders.

At the heart of the Midlength Mk II is Armstrong’s new X-Form precision molded construction. Developed from the ground up in Armstrong’s dedicated manufacturing facility, this technology delivers an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio while eliminating the inconsistencies often found in traditional board construction. Every board is produced using ultra-precise CNC-machined molds, ensuring perfect replication of the original shape and maintaining exact design tolerances throughout production.
The internal structure is equally advanced. Every component is CNC-machined before assembly, creating a highly integrated internal framework that maximizes stiffness, strength, and energy transfer. This results in a board that remains responsive and durable over time, resisting fatigue and maintaining its original performance characteristics for years of use.
The thinner X-Form profile creates a noticeably more direct connection to the foil while reducing unwanted touchdowns. Optimized volume distribution preserves stability and balance while allowing the board to sit closer to the water, enhancing control, responsiveness, and rider feedback in all conditions.
The hull has been completely redesigned to improve hydrodynamic efficiency. A refined double concave transitioning into a subtle V-bottom generates early lift, improves acceleration, and softens touchdowns. When reconnecting with the water, the board releases cleanly rather than sticking, helping riders recover quickly and maintain momentum. Shallower chines and a flatter rear section further reduce drag and improve overall efficiency.
The surf-inspired squash tail increases stability during starts and positioning while improving water release and acceleration. By keeping the rails parallel further back, the tail design enhances takeoff performance and creates a more confident feeling underfoot.
Armstrong’s proven Forward Geometry foil track system remains a key feature of the Midlength Mk II. By positioning the foil further forward, the system reduces swing weight, improves responsiveness, and creates a more direct and connected feeling between rider and foil regardless of the foil brand being used.
A newly developed lightweight deck pad provides increased grip, improved comfort, and enhanced board control while reducing overall weight. Integrated footstrap inserts offer additional setup options for riders looking to customize their stance and riding style.
