The Fusion delivers the power and endurance of an efoil while keeping the lightness, responsiveness and adaptability of a Foil Assist, earning its name as the perfect blend of both worlds. As the name suggests, the Fusion is a true hybrid electric foil system—bringing together two categories in one compact, versatile package. It’s the ideal tool for long cruises, first-time riders, and performance foilers alike. And unlike traditional efoils, the Fusion isn’t limited to one mode. Swap to a shorter cable and it instantly transforms into a highly powerful, long-runtime Foil Assist, giving you two systems in one.
One tool with endless possibilities. Unlike the other Gen2 products, the Fusion doesn’t carry the “Assist” label because its technical capabilities place it in its own category: Gen2.5.
Keeping the lightweight, hydrodynamic form factor of the Assist range, the Fusion steps up performance with its 864 Wh Fusion 860 Battery and 43-volt electronics. The removable battery features a fully sealed one-piece housing with an integrated nose cone, delivering durability, water resistance, and easy handling for transport or quick swaps. A Smart BMS actively monitors, protects and manages the battery to ensure maximum safety, efficiency and lifespan. It communicates directly with both the Battery Caddy and the Foil Drive App, giving you precise data on battery health and State of Charge (SoC).
A key focus during development was weight optimization. Even though the Fusion is the longest and most powerful unit in the lineup, its frontal area and internal weight distribution have been refined to reduce drag and maintain perfect balance underfoot. Delivering this much runtime in such a compact, hydrodynamic system is unique to the Fusion. At just 8.35 kg (18.4 lbs), it remains extremely lightweight for an efoil alternative.
An optional Intelligent Tilt Sensor (IMU) adds an extra layer of safety, shutting off the motor when the board exceeds a 30° angle in pitch or roll—perfect for learners or riders who want extra confidence.
With live session data displayed directly on the controller’s GPS, you can track real-time speed, max speed and total distance. Upcoming updates will sync this information with the Foil Drive App for post-session review.
Every Fusion Battery is paired with a Battery Caddy for added protection and smart battery management. The caddy shows charge level and can discharge the battery to recommended storage levels. For longevity, Foil Drive recommends storing the battery between 30% and 60% SoC. The caddy can discharge passively through its heatsink or actively by powering devices through its USB-A and USB-C ports, letting you charge your phone, laptop or controller.
