The bottom contours are optimized to accelerate quickly through the water for takeoff while remaining forgiving during high-speed touchdowns. This balance of acceleration and forgiveness gives riders greater confidence and control — especially in challenging downwind conditions.
An extra tail rocker ensures the board releases cleanly when flying on foil, preventing unwanted tracking and maintaining agility and balance. The flat deck adds comfort and direct connection during long runs, offering ample foot placement options to match each rider’s stance and style.
Volume is concentrated at the board’s center for an ultra-balanced feel both when paddling and when flying, while reduced volume in the nose and tail minimizes swing weight, making the MAKO feel much shorter and livelier underfoot.
